The Irvine Park Railroad Easter Eggstravaganza is Eggsellent!

Here comes Peter Cottontail, hopping down the bunny trail train track, hippity-hoppity Easter's on it's way!

Well, that isn't exactly how the song goes. However, if you head over to Irvine Park Railroad that is the song you will be singing.  It's springtime and the park is filled with flowers, bunnies, chicks, and your favorite bunny of all is visiting to wish you a Happy Easter.

In true Irvine Park Railroad fashion, there is something for everyone ... games, bounce house, cookies, hay rides, train rides, and an Easter egg hunt .. Oh my!

My sons favorite part of the day? Getting his face painted.

It's Easter, so I suggested he get his face painted like a bunny, or maybe a cute little chick. Uh, no. Leave it to my son to tell the lady he wants to be a white lion. (We had just watched the movie White Lion the night before, and I think he was a little fixated on it)

I have never seen him so relaxed - and the expression on his face when he looked in the mirror was great. He was so happy that she was able to make him a white lion.

Now my favorite part of the day? Decorating sugar cookies!! Irvine Park Railroad has the best sugar cookies (and they are baked fresh each day)

Yeah, I still think my pink and yellow cookie look more like Easter than his green one covered in blue and green sprinkles. But I guess it all tastes the same when you eat it ... Yum!

So now that you've seen how much fun we had, why don't you hop the family down to Irvine Park Railroad and enjoy the Easter Eggstravaganza yourself?
