Animal Adoptions

Dylan's Koala was adopted in 2009 while attending Koalapalooza at the San Diego Zoo

You can adopt a Koala from the San Diego Zoo too. Why stop at just one? Adopt a Koala family!

During the Garden Festival Tweet-up we adopted a Panda, Cheetah, and Hippo (May 12, 2012)

Day 2 of the Garden Festival, which was also Mother's Day, we adopted a Polar Bear and Tiger
(May 13, 2012) I thought the Tiger was a gift to me for Mother's Day, but somehow his name ended up on the adoption certificate.

On our visit to the San Diego Zoo Safari Park for Endangered Species Day, we adopted two more animals to bring home with us. I mean how could we not? It was Endangered Species Day! This time Dylan chose a Rhinoceros (for Nola) and an Elephant (May 18, 2012)

Our second Australian animal was a Christmas gift and Dylan's first adoption from World Wildlife Fund. Tasmanian Devil (December, 2012)

Perhaps one of the most special adoptions yet was from Helping Rhinos and the Ol Pejeta Conservancy in Africa.  Fatu, a Northern White Rhino joined our family on Valentines Day 2013. Read his story here.
